Financial Aid

Neumann Goretti is committed to making our educational experience accessible to all families. We strongly encourage every family to apply for financial aid. Financial aid requests have no impact on admissions decisions.

Financial Aid applications for the 2018-2019 school year will be available in December. Please check back then for more information.

The deadline for Financial Aid applications for the 2017-2018 school year is September 30th. All applications must be submitted through SmartAid. Our school code is 13056.

Note: applications will not be accepted/reviewed until the application fee is paid and the required tax documents are uploaded.

Scholarships

Maguire Scholarship

The Maguire Foundation, in partnership with the Faith in the Future Foundation, awards $3,000 per-year scholarships to at least six students at Neumann Goretti each year. The scholarship is renewable for each of the four years of high school, given that the Maguire Scholar maintains certain standards. Maguire Scholarship applicants must have a demonstrated financial need, exceptional academic records, and a commitment to community service. To learn more and apply, click here.

Josephine C. Connelly Achievement Award

The Josephine C. Connelly Achievement Award is a four-year tuition grant presented to 8th grade students currently attending Philadelphia parish or regional Catholic elementary schools who best demonstrate the value of a Catholic education by striving to achieve their full academic potential. The four-year grant covers 40% of the student’s tuition. An annual review by the high school president determines renewal of the Connelly Foundation’s yearly commitment to each student. Ellis Grant

The Ellis Grant offers tuition assistance to girls who reside in Philadelphia, live in a household where one or both parents are absent mentally or physically impaired, and have grades of C or better in major subjects. Applications for the 2018-2019 school year will be available beginning January 1, 2018. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2018. For more information and to apply, visit www.EllisTrust.org.

John T. Mitchell Trust Scholarship

The John T. Mitchell Memorial Trust Scholarship supports Catholic African American students with exceptional academic ability who are in need of financial assistance. Scholarship(s) are awarded annually based upon the determination of the selection committee. Applicants must be in good academic standing with at least a B average, be committed to community service, and demonstrate financial need. St. Thomas More Alumni Scholarship

The St. Thomas More Alumni Scholarship provides tuition assistance to students who are related to or recommended by a St. Thomas More alumnus. To be considered for this award, students must be active in school, sports, or church activities, have a strong academic record, and participate in community service. Applications for the 2018-2019 school year are due by December 31, 2017. For more information and to apply, click here.

Northeast Catholic Alumni Grants

The Northeast Catholic Alumni Memorial Fund provides grants to children or grandchildren of dues paying members of the Alumni Association. The grants are awarded to applicants who meet minimum academic and financial need requirements. The association awards five grants of $15,000 and five of $10,000.They are payable in equal semi-annual installments over four years providing the applicant meets minimum academic standards. David Nelson Jr. Scholarship

The David Nelson Jr. Scholarship awards annual $1,000 scholarships to deserving children of deceased organ donor parents or guardians. For more information and to apply, click here.
