The school minister, Fr. James Olson, is a Priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia who, working directly with the Principal and the Administration, is responsible for the Catholic Identity of the school. The main focus of the Office of School Ministry is the reverent celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacraments and various religious services. Our goal is the formation in the Faith and the growth in holiness of our students as they seek the will of God in their lives. It is not the intention of the School Minister to relieve the parents of the responsibility they undertook at their child’s Baptism to be the “first teachers of their children in the ways of faith,” nor is it his intention to replace the important role that the pastor and the home parish play in the lives of each of our students, the home parish being their spiritual home. Rather, it is the intention of the School Minister to aid, assist, and supplement the faith formation that is already taking place in the home and parish settings.
