Ss. John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School Mini-THON® is a multi-hour fundraising dance event held in the Spring to benefit Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital to combat the personal, financial, and medical aspects of pediatric cancer.
Throughout the year, students plan and implement fundraisers, promote student and community involvement, and demonstrate a commitment to helping others. Ss. John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School proudly became a Four Diamonds school in 2016, joining more than 70,000 students and 235 schools in five states.
The mission of Four Diamonds is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children treated at Penn State Children’s Hospital, and their families through superior care, comprehensive support, and innovative research. Four Diamonds Mini-THON®s are fun-filled events for students of all ages that inspire teamwork, leadership and creativity, while empowering young people through philanthropy and service in the fight to conquer childhood cancer. Mini-THON®s are modeled after the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) and have been making a difference in the lived of childhood cancer patients and their families for more than 20 years.
