Annual Gifts to Ss. John Neumann & Maria Goretti High School are a commitment to sustaining Catholic education. An annual gift provides the foundation needed to preserve and grow the only faith-based, college-preparatory high school in South Philadelphia. An annual gift creates opportunities for program expansion and technology enhancements. An annual gift contributes to the scholarships and tuition assistance that support the families in our community. An annual gift enables needed renovations that create a welcoming home for our students.

Our Approach

Ss. John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School was founded on the rich history and traditions of those who provided a quality education and Catholic values to Philadelphia students. Based on the belief that all students deserve a premier college preparatory education, we offer the following:

  • a challenging and comprehensive academic program, balancing innovation and tradition
  • a qualified and dedicated faculty,
  • the support of an engaged community.

Our Points of Pride

  • More than 70% new teachers supported by an innovative and consistent program of professional development.
  • An enhanced college counseling program providing support in college selection and assisting with scholarship and financial aid opportunities
  • An increase in advanced placement courses from 5 to 21
  • No cost SAT review courses
  • No cost college courses provided by partnerships with area universities
  • A diverse student body representative of various cultures both national and international

Our Challenge

A number of our students qualify for significant financial aid. Our building is more than 60 years old, inefficient and dated. Our curricular and co-curricular programs require consistent updating to continue offering a robust menu of courses and complementary programs in the arts, service and athletics.
