Today, we pray for the civilians and first responders who lost their lives as a result of the events on September 11th, 2001. #NeverForget Enable us, dear God, to put an end to fear. By resolving to live lives that are based on respect for one another. By resolving to abide in a peaceful manner and never settle disagreements in our lives in a violent way. By resolving not to fall into the trap of blaming entire ethnic groups, races, or religions in response to acts of hostility. By resolving that justice, not revenge, prevail in our world. Let us resolve that in the face of hatred, we will show love. That in times of despair, we will be voices of hope and creators of new dreams. That in times of darkness, we will be sources of light. And, let us honor the memory of nearly 3,000 individuals who died on September 11, 2001. By resolving, with Your help Almighty God, To truly live this way so You may be glorified and Your love made known to others through us. Amen

Throughout the summer, we’ll be spotlighting members of our incoming Class of 2025! We are so excited to welcome this talented, diverse, and enthusiastic group of students to the Saints community. Today we welcome Madison Fletcher of St. Frances Cabrini to the Class of 2025! ???? What activities are you involved in at your current school? ???? “Throughout my years at SFC, I have been a part of choir, theater, student council and basketball. I have also received first honors each year.” ???? What are you looking forward to at SNG? ???? “I’m really looking forward to making new friends. Seeing everyone at SNG just gave me a new outlook on high school and I’m super excited to make memories during these next four years.” ???? Why did you choose SNG? ???? “I chose SNG because of the social environment. When I visited the school in 2020, all of the student ambassadors were so sweet and it was obvious that they were happy at the school so naturally I gravitated towards that happiness too.” Welcome to SNG, Madison! We’re thrilled you’ve chosen to be a Saint!

Congratulations to SNG rising Juniors Jose Rivera and Vy Trinh-Nguyen on their graduation from CHOP-RISES! ⠀ ⠀ CHOP-RISES is an intensive, two-summer STEM-M internship program designed to build science confidence in high school students that are typically underrepresented in research. CHOP-RISES graduates are more confident in their science skills, understand the breadth of STEM-M careers, and develop a lasting network of CHOP professionals to guide their future careers. Program graduates are also eligible to apply for college summer internships at CHOP. See the pictures in this post for examples of Vy and Jose’s research from this program. ⠀ ⠀ Congratulations again to Vy and Jose, and thank you to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for hosting the program! ⠀
