Ms. Noll: A Dedicated Mentor Making a Last Impact at NG
By Grace Battaglia
Ms. Noll has been a wonderful addition to our Neumann Goretti family and has done so much for our school in less than a year. Ms. Noll is part of the ACE program, so she was placed to work here. “The job I have here gives me more opportunities to work towards my degree as a reading specialist by doing support in the learning commons, and also getting more background on the admissions side of it” she says. For the people who don’t know, Ms. Noll spends 1st through 3rd period in the Learning Commons providing extra support to any student who needs it, and the rest of the day she assists Ms. Korbal with anything she needs. When asked what motivates her to do this every day, she was quick to respond.
“The students. They are my favorite. Also, the students that are coming in, because a lot of them are excited to be here, and that’s always good to see.”
This is Ms. Noll’s first year working at a high school after working at elementary schools for the majority of her career, so she has been experiencing a bunch of new events here at Neumann Goretti. “I enjoyed the Jingle and Mingle a lot, but as far as all of the Neumann Goretti events the basketball games are very exciting. I got to go to the game at Villanova when the girls played. I just love to see the happiness on their faces after they win.” Ms. Noll has also learned a lot herself throughout her career. “The most important thing I learned is to find people who make you excited to go to work. I have lots of good people that I love working with here, and it just makes me look forward to all my days here.” Along with the excitement of seeing her co-workers, Ms. Noll looks forward to seeing the students everyday as well. “Sometimes the students are a little bit hesitant to share things about themselves or share their work or what they’re struggling with, so if you form good relationships with them they will feel comfortable to come to you with whatever they really need help with. I even got to write some recommendation letters for some students which has been very exciting. Helping them to grow in the future is very important to me.” When asked her favorite thing about the school, Ms. Noll had difficulty choosing just one. “I like a lot of things the most.” She laughed. “I think there is a very strong student body. I love working with all the ambassadors. They’re the best at planning events and getting everything ready. The students and staff are all the best here.” This school has definitely changed for the better after Ms. Noll joined us due to her contagious happiness and dedication to her job. We wouldn’t trade her for the world!
