NextIt’s #TeacherTuesday, where each week we spotlight a member of our outstanding faculty and staff! ⠀ ⠀ Today’s spotlight shines on Ms. Geraghty, our Resource Room teacher. Ms. Geraghty received her BA in Elementary and Special Education from Immaculata University. She is currently working towards her Master’s degree at Eastern University in order to become a Certified School Psychologist. Ms. Geraghty has built our Resource Room from the ground up over the past 4 years and goes above and beyond to provide support to our students! ⠀ ⠀ 💬 We asked Ms. Geraghty “What is the best advice you have ever received? ” ⠀ ⠀ 👩🏫 Ms. Geraghty told us: “My dad used to tell me every morning before school, “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you are right” (Henry Ford). Throughout my high school, college, and teaching career I have learned what that quote means. Our minds are powerful and we are capable of much more than we think. It’s important to slow down and remember you can do it! It might not look like what you want it to, but finding success in smaller pieces can help remind you of your strengths which will keep you going.” ⠀ ⠀ 💬 We also asked Ms. Geraghty “What is something people would be surprised to know about you?” ⠀ ⠀ 👩🏫 She told us: “I traveled to Seoul, South Korea with my best friend from high school who is a native of the country. I also lived in Peru for a month and spent time teaching English. I cannot wait to travel (safely) again soon! Ireland might be the first place on my list!”
