Neumann Goretti Senior Leads Students in Writing Letters to Military Members

Thank you to Catholic Philly and Jay Sorgi for shining a light on one of our most inspiring students, Nicholas Morici. His commitment to writing letters to deployed troops has touched hearts far beyond our school community.

Nicholas’s letters were brought to American Legion Post 281, where a remarkable group of mothers were assembling care packages for their sons and other service members overseas. They were extremely touched by these heartfelt messages and the compassion behind every word. The letters were sent out with the care packages at the end of October.

And Nicholas hasn’t stopped there. Since the article was published, he and his fellow members of the Leo Club have written thank you cards that Nicholas personally delivered to the VA Hospital in Philadelphia on Veterans Day.

His kindness is contagious! The Leo Club only continues to grow, and prove its acronym – Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.
