We are excited to announce the Class of 2021 Valedictorian and Salutatorian! The Valedictorian is Travis Short. The Salutatorian is Peyton Nelson. Congratulations to Travis and Peyton on your accomplishments as Saints! Please read on to learn more about Travis and Peyton… — Travis Short came to SNG from St. Thomas Aquinas School. In his four years at SNG, Travis has taken advantage of our many opportunities to prepare for college, including taking six AP classes and six college courses. In addition to managing a challenging academic roster, Travis has been involved in the SNG Orchestra, the National Honor Society and participated in a number of community service projects through Saints Philanthropy. He also volunteers at the Aquinas Center and works a variety of part-time jobs. Travis has applied to a number of prestigious colleges and universities, and has so far been accepted to the University of Notre Dame. He plans to study mechanical engineering and music. We look forward to learning where Travis decides to bring his many talents once he receives decisions from his remaining applications! — Peyton Nelson joined SNG from St. Anthony of Padua School. Peyton has been an active member of the Saints community, lending her talents to the SNG Ambassadors, Saints Philanthropy, the SNG Yearbook, the National Honor Society, and serving on Student Council as Student Spirit Director in 11th grade. She also continues to volunteer at her grade school. In addition to her extracurricular contributions, Peyton has maintained a rigorous course load, including six AP courses and four college courses. In light of her accomplishments, Peyton was awarded the Union League Good Citizenship Award. Peyton plans to study Psychology in college, with the goal of becoming a psychiatrist. She has been accepted to St. Joseph’s University, Neumann University, LaSalle University, University of the Sciences, and Thomas Jefferson University, and has been offered over $60,000 in combined scholarships. Peyton is waiting on decisions from a few other schools, and we look forward to seeing where she chooses to continue her studies!
