Retreats

Annual Retreats are presented for the students, faculty and staff.  The purpose is to draw aside from the normal daily activity to spend time with our fellow students and/or colleagues to reflect on our spiritual journey.    The celebration of the Mass is an essential element of each retreat.

Each off-campus retreat has a theme and emphasis:

  • Freshman Retreat: Discovery of St. John Neumann and St. Maria Goretti, the patrons of our school.
  • Sophomore Retreat: Understanding the presence of Jesus in our lives.
  • Junior Retreat:  Listen to the call to choose a life path, a vocation.
  • Senior Retreat: Our call to sanctity and the value of all life.

Faculty/Staff Retreat: To work in a Catholic high school is more than a way to employ our productive years.  A sign found on the wall of our conference room proclaims:  “Let it be known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason for this school. The unseen, but ever present teacher in its classes, the model of its faculty, the inspiration of its students.”   Indeed, the faith of the faculty and staff must be shared, as faith-in-action.
